​Back in late 2000, my Mom would tell me about this little homeless, white dog that was out in the woods in Ruskin. She was taking her food everyday for weeks and was was finally able to catch her with the help of a friend. ​​I named her Coconut on Anna Maria Island in a tropical storm with 55 mph winds. She is the best gift that I ever received and the best dog that I have ever had. She is about 15 now and we have had her for 12 years.
Coconut is such a joy, she is the perfect baby. She has had a wonderful life of boating, swimming, crabbing, and just floating around on her raft on the Alafia River. She goes where ever I go.​
